Moessorgski Revisited

Olivia  in discussion with the young musicians who chose her painting ''Power-trip" in the project Moessorgski Revisited

In 2010 Olivia's painting "Power-trip"was selected in the art/music project "Moessorgski Revisited".In this project the the young students of the music school In Houten chose art works made by one of the artists of the artists society "Kunstomdehoek". The artwork was the source of inspiration to either compose a piece of music or choose an existing piece to play. The music compositions and the selected art works were presented on  June the 19th with both artists and musicians taking to the stage in Theater aan de Slinger in Houten. This project has taken shape due to the collaberation between the Kunstomdehoek, KunstAanBod and Houtens Muziek Collectief. Olivia's painting reaches New York

In September  2009  Olivia 's painting "The Power of Nature"was among 380 paintings  to travel to New York for the New Island Festival. This took place on Governor's Island, overlooking the Manhattan coastline. The festival was part of the celebrations of New Yorks 400 years anniversary.

1200 kids  and a 20 metre  artwork!    

For the third year in a row, in 2010 Olivia has executed this major art project  for Bavodag in the  St Bavo Cathedral Haarlem, the Netherlands. Every year the parishes of North Holland come together to celebrate the confirmation day of  the kids. In this beautiful cathderal a day full of various activites takes palce, including Olivia's panoramic dreams work. For the past two years Olivia has been assisted on the day by fellow Houten artist Alice Scholte.

Oerol Festival and SLEM

In June  2009 Olivia took part in the Oerol festival on the island of Terschelling, in the Netherlands. Olivia took part  in the festival by creating a Wind Nomad for the occasion.  This consisted of a painting on panel,  placed on a stand allowing the paintings to move in the wind while exhibited on the Dutch coastline.

 The project was the brainchild of SLEM ( Stichting Landschapsbeheer En Meer) or the "Landscape Theatre Foundation".
