38 artists open their doors to the public on this 22nd year of “de Kunstfietsdagen”. My studio is open with 3 extra large new paintings and a fourth new one hangs in the theatre across the street. In the neighbourhood, then pop in! (De Oude Politiebureau, de Slinger 2, Houten, The Netherlands)
Guiding eight gallant women, working together in pairs, 4 diptych’s were created. We celebrated International Women’s Day in the company of diverse nationalities and the donations went to support Cordaid Memisa in their support and education of pregnant women in Africa.
I am currently taking part in a portrait exhibition in the local theatre, Theater aan de Slinger, in Houten,N.L., together with my two sons, Aidan (11) and Finn (7).
All residents in Houten were invited to take part. The exhibition was preluded with a Live portrait session where 5 Houten artists captured on paper, canvas and clay, a distinguished Houten professor Gijs van Kuik. The exhibition runs until May 12th. For more info click op Portrait expo.
With fond memories of her visit to Africa, this client wanted an original stairway reminiscent of Africa. This mural combines elements of the map of Africa, with the rock structure of a cave with cave paintings subtly incorporated into the whole.
These fairies were created for two clients, both wanting to create a unique fairy theme to their kid’s rooms.
